Well, now it is 2 years later and I have gone through a lot. In November 2007 Carmen and I were able to take a cruise from San Diego to Mexico. We had a great time. In December I went outside, slipped on the ice and cracked my left leg again. Back into a cast I went. We decided that at the same time that I was out of action with the leg again, we would have my left arm re-broken and straightened with plates and screws. The arm was not set straight after the accident due to concerns about damaging my nerves to my hand. It healed with a 45 degree kink in it. My left hand would not open after the accident and the doctors were not hopeful that I would regain full use of it. They didn't know me. With months of physical therapy and exercise I regained full use of my left hand. I flew the 18 meter nationals at Mifflin, in a Discus, in 2008 but it wasn't fun yet so I took another year off. This year, 2009, I am back. All that is left is some feet pain from some nerve damage which is getting better all the time.

So ...... I have a new K1. It is a Ventus 2Cx and I plan to fly 3 nationals this year.

Hopefully this is finally the end of April 16th 2007!
